Theological Education to the World – International Resourcing

The Gospel Coalition published this article recently that focuses on the opportunity the American church has to resource much of the Church around the world with theological education. This is something that most Americans agree would agree is “a good idea,” but few are actively engaged in supporting such work. Our hearts are more easily drawn to works of mercy and justice (which must be done…no throwing the baby out with the bathwater). However, equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, or as the writer echoes Jesus’ words to Peter, “feed by sheep,” is an essential task if we are to ensure acts of mercy and justice will continue. Acts of mercy and justice are not sustainable in and of themselves. They need good doctrine to fuel them. Of course, good doctrine includes acts of justice and mercy.

In particular, note the opportunity at the end of the article to support some excellent projects. Click here for more info.

  1. Seth,
Thanks for pointing to our article on your site. I wonder if we could connect and explore ways that MTW and TGC IO might collaborate. Drop me a note at this email address.

    Thanks,

    Bill
